Blackberry Crisp

This summer I entered a contest and won a box full of goodies from Bob’s Red Mill. I don’t normally enter for these types of random drawings but Bob’s Red Mill products are so good that I couldn’t pass it up. I was so glad to have won some cool products.

Lentils with Butternut Squash

Growing up we ate lentils pretty much every day as they were nutritious, cheap, and filling. I didn’t appreciate lentils as much back then but now crave it often and miss my Mom’s cooking. You can use this sauce for a variety of things. Burritos, nachos, tacos, chips, you name it!

I also really like curry, which is basically a combination of spices including cumin, coriander, turmeric, fennel, cinnamon, cloves, and chili. I’ve been making a lot of soups lately, as my family just really likes that style of meal. It’s also less work quite honestly. For this recipe I decided to combine these three elements into something that I call curried asparagus soup.
