Mixed Berry Coffee Cake

I have been very happy this summer with my garden. It’s been wonderful to get out in the morning to pick berries. We have several wild blackberry bushes that are producing a lot of big berries. My blueberry bushes are not as well established but still provided enough fruit this summer to let me make this delicious mixed berry coffee cake.

Banana Bread with Cream Cheese Frosting

We like bananas at our house but the thing is they get soft and mushy too fast, and I’m often left with a lot of over-ripe bananas. I could freeze them but usually I don’t have enough freezer space. I recently had too many ripe bananas and also too much cream cheese in my refrigerator. I therefore thought — why not make banana bread with a cream cheese frosting?

Vanilla Yogurt Coffee Cake

Cinnamon and sugar is such a wonderful combination. I didn’t grow up eating to many sweet treats in Bangladesh. After I moving to the states, I have tried variety of things with cinnamon and sugar.. A sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on a buttered toast?! One of my favorite things is to get an elephant ear or funnel cake made with cinnamon sugar at a local event like the county fair.
