  I have a lot of fun creating dishes that pair with wine. Where we live we have some incredible wineries. We are fortunate enough that we get to visit many local wineries and sample wines. One of my favorites is Willamette Valley Vineyards (WVV). I have been experimenting with their wine recently.

  It’s been a while since I cooked something fancy. I miss working in the restaurant industry. The things I miss the most are cooking nice cuts of meat and making an interesting sauce with wine. I also miss hosting nice sit-down dinners for special occasions, which hasn’t been possible because of the pandemic.

  I am always searching for a mouth-watering burger. I love going to burger joints and trying out new burgers with rich and unusual flavors. My husband likes his burgers traditional with ketchup, mustard, tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles. My son and I like novel blends of spices, sauces, and toppings like mushrooms or tomato corn salsa.
