Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips

I have been buying too many bananas for the past few weeks. Maybe it’s because school finally started for us and I thought I’ll need a lot of things to put in school lunch bags. The great thing about bananas is that even if you overbuy, there’s lots of cool recipes that can make use of them — even when they’re a bit brown. Below I make a wonderful banana bread recipe that also has lots of nuts and chocolate goodness.

Zucchini Poppy Seed Bread

It’s been really hot where we live, but my garden has been thriving. I’ve been getting a lot of zucchini in particular. Some of them grew too big in fact, and therefore are not very tender. Banana Bread with Cream Cheese Frosting

We like bananas at our house but the thing is they get soft and mushy too fast, and I’m often left with a lot of over-ripe bananas. I could freeze them but usually I don’t have enough freezer space. I recently had too many ripe bananas and also too much cream cheese in my refrigerator. I therefore thought — why not make banana bread with a cream cheese frosting?

Caribbean Banana Bread

When I get up in the morning I like to have some kind of light and sweet bread or muffin with my coffee. One of my favorites is banana bread. This is something that I’ve made dozens if not hundreds of times and is a great way to use up extra bananas when you have them.
